Ok, so I had my surgery March 20, 2009 and was a smooth for what I can rememeber. I had the support of my husband Steve and my friend Joan, and Miriam they were with me. I don't remember that much but Dr. Dicicco told my husband and friends that it went smooth. I had some gas pain and the nurses game some Malox and suggested to walk it would ease the gas pain in my shoulder and no back pain.
left the hospital today in the morning, I have some pain, but I expected that, drinking my liquids only, I'm walking at home. I've discover laying down in the bed is more difficult and painful and decided to sit on the couch with a bunch of pillows for comfort. I'm schedule for my first doctor visit 4/2/09 can't wait to see what happens next.

Wow so I have not posted all my thoughts and accomplished goals so far. Ok so surgery is scheduled for this friday 3/20/09 and I can't wait, for my second birthday. I've started the liquid diet and I have lost 19 lbs so far, and what a feeling that is.... I was in shocked and got on the scale 3 times and could not believe the numbers on the scale, so I borrowed my friends scale so I can verify the numbers and wow again the numbers were the same.
Its jsut amazing that if you stick to the liquid diet you will loose weight and keep positive thoughts to keep you motivated. Support from true friends and loved ones that care for you makes it alot easier.

Today is 3/9/09 and its my 5th day on my clear liquid diet.... I've had chicken and beef broths..... sf popsicles and jello. I know it was going to be hard, but wow its really tough.... but I can do it. 
I have great support from my lovely husband
