I had the scope done today and he found staples that was causing me to throw up foods and he also had to stretch my pouch. He said I should do much better now that these two issues have been taken care of. So far today I have not gotten sick when eating. 

Went to the doctor today and was told I have now lost a total of 61 pounds since surgery in Dec and 31 of them since Jan. However,  I am doing good but have to have an upper GI due to throwing up some types of foods. Other than that I am good. 

I am doing great I have lost 38 pounds since my surgery. I have a few issues with some foods but for the most part doing great.

I am now one week post op and have lost 15 pounds so far and I am doing good. I am still sore but getting better daily.

I got the phone call today that I will be having my surgery on December 30, 2009 at 7:30 am. This is all moving so fast now that I have the approval from PEIA. I will be starting the new year as a new women. My surgery will be done by Dr Robert Shin in Charleston, WV. I am excited and scared all in one. I However, the only thing I wanted this Christmas was to get my approval and have surgery as soon as possible. I got what I wanted and will now be joining the losers bench with so many others.

I got my call from the insurance company today and I was approved for surgery. I am now just waiting for the doctors office to call that they have the approval letter so that they can schedule me for my surgery date. This should happen quickly now since the insurance approval is finished. I should hear back within the week on when I will have surgery.  
I am so happy to finally get there after a year of jumping through hoops with PEIA.

I have all my paper work done and Doctor's office should have it all submitted by Wednesday. I just hope and pray I am approved on the first try. I have PEIA and needed to have a year weight loss with my doctor and a 10% weight loss over the year which I did not lose the 10% so we will see.  
I have jumped through all of the hoops now Therefore,  I will not give up on getting this surgery due to I need it to live a longer healthier life. 

I had my Evaluation done and have another appointment on November 16, 2009 to go over all my paper work. I also found hat I lost 4 pounds within a week. I am happy that I will soon have all submitted for approval from PEIA. However, I have not met the 10% but I am still happy because I am finally moving forward with all of the paper work after a year and a few months. I will never give up on my dreams of having this surgery so that I will be around for many years to come with my loving husband and three boys.

I went and seen Dr. Shin today and will have a new psychiatric evaluation and then all will be sent into PEIA. Dr. Shin also put me on a 800 calorie diet until we get the approval from PEIA. I am happy now that things are moving forward after sitting still for so long. I need to lose at least 10 to 20 pounds so that the surgery will be safe for me and to avoid having a fat liver which makes this type of surgery harder to do. I can do this and be able to say i have joined the losers bench with all of the rest of you who have had this type of surgery. 

I have completed over one year supervised weight loss and have done everything else but still waiting for my doctor to send to my insurance company. I have PEIA and they require 10% weight loss which I have been unable to reach no matter what. I went to Dr Shins and they could not see me due to I had to redo some paper work which has to be done which in 6 months and mine was now over a year. I did that and still have been told they do not have everything in order to send to my insurance company. I will be seeing Dr Shin November 3, 2009 and have got my papers from my PCP and a copy of my Eval. I hope I now have everything so they will at least summit so I can start my fight with PEIA to get approved to have surgery without the 10% weight loss they require. Something has got to give and give soon. I have jumped through all of the hoops and still am jumping. I am about to give up and face I am always going to be over weight.
