Thank God for family!

Well, my surgery is March 18th 2013, and i`m all set to take 2 weeks off from work. I am a Cosmetologist and I do nails, so i`m usually sitting down. I`m making a conscience note to myself to make sure I give myself breaks so I can get up and walk around. I`m excited that it will be Spring soon so I can go for walks around the area where I work. 

Most of my family knows i`m having my surgery, but my mother I haven`t told, she lives in NY, and I`m in Maine. She`s 87, and she worries. Sometimes she doesn`t sleep if she worries, so i`m waiting for maybe next  week to tell her. Not sure how she will react. My sister that lives up here in Maine is very close to me. I love her so much! She is a Registered Dietician, and actually worked in the office with my surgeon as their Dietician. She has her own business now, but still sees Bariatric patients. She`s going to be a big help!

My 22 yr old son Matthew lives in Florida, and is coming down for my surgery! He wants to help out and help take care of his little brothers.(Luke-10 & Tristan-6) We are very excited to see him. My husband Eric will be home that week, and he`s such an amazing man. He`s like a housewife! He does EVERYTHING and is very organized. I couldn`t be luckier!

I will start my liquid protein diet on Monday, and for two weeks. Then Surgery! I`m counting down the days, it can`t come soon enough! Most of my clients know about my surgery, and are happy for me. They are being a great support system. And so are my friends. I`m happy that they understand my decision. 

Now I just have to tell my brother....this will be most difficult. He`s an angel on earth, but very hands on when it comes to health. He never goes to doctors unless necessary. He`s an all natural man which is fine. But he thinks theres always a solution to a health issue you can fix on your own. He isn`t big on surgeries!  But he will just have to understand this time! He always says, "I love you little sister, and i`m just looking out for you." So hopefully it will go smoothly??? One can only hope ;)
