I am a 41 year old single mom of 1. I have been overweight all my life. I come from a family who loves food and paid dearly for our poor diet choices. Diabetes and heart disease run heavily through my family. It wasn't until I was 33 that the consequences for my bad food choices and poor exercise habits reared their ugly heads. It is at this time, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and began taking my first prescribed meds. Then, came high blood pressure and cholesterol meds.
I am now at a point where enough is enough and lifestyle changes are in order. I have completed the requirements of my insurance company. The paperwork has been submitted to Cigna. I hope to know their decision soon.
