Hey Patti, I was very scared and wondered the same thing as you did. I am doing just fine and am down about 90lbs. I was 248 when I went for surgery so we are close in the same area. Don't be nervous and learn as much as you can about the surgery and what your life will be like afterwards. Maybe you can visit the Jan 2006 board and see how those people are after a year. take care Heidi

9/14/06 This is my first posting.I am pre-op and hoping to have my WLS sometime in Jan 07.Most days I can hardly wait and then others I'm wondering if I've lost my mind.Has anyone else felt this way.On those days I like to read others inspiring stories.It always gets me excited again.I've had my Psch.appt.and one with the nutrition.I still have some visits with my surgeon to qualify.Thats about all for now.Will post more next month.
