Wow-- ive been at this for a long time. It took me a while to find a surgeon in network. Finally I Found the Uninted Surgical Group at Staten Island University Hospital. My surgeon-to-be is Dr. Heather McMullen (really nice person). Thusfar, Ive done most of my presurgical testing--hopefully the remainder will be done by this time next month and I will have a surgery date-- fingers crossed! A side note-- in preparation for surgery-- ive cut out drinking soda entirely and have limited my sugar intake and upped my protien and am trying desperately to add more exercise--and Im now about 6lbs less than when I started this. I know, Iknow-- not a whole lot of loss in 8 months--but I haven't gained and thats a BIG surprise to me!
