Been a while again, I know
May 25, 2008
Well, needless to say, I don't feel that way anymore, I chose this and accepted the possibility of complications and have done NOTHING wrong. I just happened to be the small percentage of people with these problems.
Would I do it again? Hell yes. I have never weighed 117 pounds as long as I can remember and I look amazing. I will get pics up soon, I have to get my daughter to help me, I have no idea how to do this computer stuff.
I hope this doesn't discourage anyone, that is not my intention. I think its important to be honest though. This can be a VERY ROUGH ROAD. Hang on it can be a hell of a ride.
Been a while

Also, I was so sick up until about a week ago, it seemed like all I did was throw up everything I ate. That is probably why I have lost so much.
Will update again sometime!!!!
I will try not to make it so long next time, and everyone be well.
2 weeks out!!

I was ecstatic to be able to eat some "real" food. Well, my pouch thinks otherwise "oh contrare!" I can't eat anything with throwing up. Cottage cheese, meatloaf, string cheese, deli turkey, NOTHING> I can get yogurt smoothies down, the Dannon light and fit carb and sugar control. Carnation instant breakfast and crystal light and water. Basically back to my liquid diet. I will try again in a week to start soft solids again I guess. I am happy though, and trying to fit walking in every day. I am starting back to work full time and full duty on Monday. I am soooooo ready for that. I have been bored as hell.
Will post again in a week or so.
1 week post op

Okay, I am so happy I had this done............. right now anyway lol.
One week ago today I was discharged from EMMC. I won't lie, the past week has been filled with so much emotion, but most of all happy. I can feel myself shrinking already. Getting a little sick of the protein shakes, but I can handle it, the new me is so worth it.
Tried some pudding yesterday,,, not a good idea!! Got horrible pain, felt like heartburn, lasted for about an hour, spasming off and on.
Getting to know the pouch and what it likes and doesn't like will prove to be a big challenge for me. Have been walking, and am eager for Thursday to see the Nut and surgeon to see how much I have lost already!!!
Will post then
