I'm 28 years old living in Pittsburgh, PA. I've always been heavy. Since I was 5, anyway, and I thought I always would be. I'm not a bad eater and although I'm not as active as I should be, I am for the most part, healthy. I haven't really had any of the medical problems that some obese people have. I've been lucky! But luck runs out and I knew that if I didn't get this surgery, mine would. I've been living with my boyfriend for the last 8 years. He's been very supportive and never once made me feel like my weight was an issue. "I just want you to be happy" is all that he has ever said about it, when I brought it up.
My Mom's side of the family is rail thin...darn them! LOL but Obesity does run on my father's side of the family. Or so I've heard. I won't bore you with the family drama!
A year ago I decided to finally get this done! And six months ago I actually did something about it, by contacting Dr. Quinlan. And now the moment is right around the corner and I've never been more excited or terrified in my life! This site has been such a help!
I can't wait to share my progress with you!
