Merge - Fruit Punch

"I bought these when Fitness First USA was having a sale. I got 2 - 12 pack cases + 4 free vials (28 vials total). Each vial has 42 grams of liquid protein. I was told to split the vials in half since the body is unable to absorb more than about 25 grams of protein at one time. My purchase has about 56 servings...definitely enough to get me through the post-op liquid phase. I bought the fruit punch flavor. It is ok. I find that it is easier to get down if I mix it with some water or Crystal Light. "

"My first impression of Dr. A was...\"What a super nice guy!\" My impression of him only got better as time went on. He is so kind, caring, compassionate, and truly sincere and genuine. He has a way about him of making you feel so comfortable from the minute you meet him. I have never been made to feel at such ease with any other doctor. After arriving to his office, he met with us and went over any last minute questions. He explained everything he was going to do every step of the way. He always kept us in the loop so we knew what to expect. He was extremely attentive and visited me several times a day to see how I was doing. He was receptive to my concerns and questions and was extremely efficient at making me feel very comfortable. He also took excellent care of my friend (who came along with me for support) and got sick while I was in the hospital. Dr. A's surgical competence and bedside manner are absolutely fabulous. I would rate him a 9 out of 10 and this has nothing to do with competence or bedside manner. The only reason I can't give him a 10 is because he is so far away. If he was in the States and closer to my home, he would be a 10++++++"

"The hospital was very old-fashioned and definitely different than what you would find in the US. It wasn't terrible, just different. There were only about 30 rooms and they all streched out in one long hallway. None of then nurses spoke English so there was definitely a language barrier. Luckily my friend and I both took some Spanish in school, and I had a Spanish-English Translation book with me. We managed to get all our needs addressed even though it was a challenge at times. The nurses all wore the white hats and uniforms with navy blue vest. They would come into the room with all of their things on a small silver tray. The used mercury thermometers to take our temperature, self-capped all their needles and used cotton balls dipped in alcohol instead of alcohol wipes. The nurses were always gentle when taking blood, giving meds, etc. Even though we weren't able to make friendly conversation, they were very pleasant and my needs were met. The cleaning staff also came into our room multiple times to empty trash cans, wipe down counters, and mop the floor. Even though the style of care was different, my needs were met fairly quickly and efficiently. To me, that is what matters the most! Plus Dr. Alvarez was absolutely wonderful!!!"
