My wife has just returned home form her WLS experience.

We are now ready to rock and roll together.
I'm very excited to have my partner in crime alone to work with me  :-)

Well its been an interesting week.
I think I have lost about 17 lbs since the surgery.  And about 30 lbs since the pre-op diet.
I am very happy with the results so far.  I am starting to see changes in my face and on my stomach.

I have my 1 week checkup on Wednesday and got the green light to start playing with stage 4 foods.  So far it has gone really well.  I'm still looking for that "new" full feeling.  So far everything has just benn "quiet"  nothing bad but no lights whistles or bells saying ok, enough.  So I am trying to make sure I keep track of how much and how often I eat.

I really started walking this weekend outdoors (4 days after surgery)  What HAPPENED?  I could do one lap down to the mailbox and back and I was pooped!
I hope things start coming back soon.   Otherwise it will take me forever to get back to what I could do before.  Is this unusual?

Well I did it!.

March 2nd 2010 I had my surgery.
The procedure was around 11:00 am.  I was up and walking around by 3:00 pm.  Now well mind you but it was a start.
By the end of the night things were going well.
I came home a day and a half later and have been doing well since.

I go back in 4 days for my first checkup. 

I'm really excited it get my drain out and get all my external holes plugged  :-)
A nice hot shower with no concerns where the water is splashing will be great.

Then I can really start focusing on the long term results.

My wife goes in for her WLS in 10 days.  We decided to do this together and may some life long changes.
