I'm down 28 pounds! I go back to work tomorrow. I went shopping on black Friday and it kicked my butt! We were at Kohl's at 4 am to get all the good stuff. I maybe spent $100 totally not worth waking up at 3:30 am. Thanksgiving was great; It was here at our house. Friday night we went to my parents house for dinner. I've said it before and I'll say it again my mother is wonderful. When we got there she had chex mix, cheez-its, and nuts. Everything that I could eat. She also made unsweet decaf tea. She is so thoughtful. I love you mom!!!

I'm down 26 lbs! I love the crunchy foods. I have dry flakes for bfast and cheez-its for lunch and chex mix for dinner. After 2 weeks of nothing but carbs I'll have to say goodbye to them for awhile. I think that we are going to Chipotle for dinner. I can't wait to eat their chips. I like mixing some of the old with some of the new. The good thing is that I hate getting sick so I keep that in the back of my mind. I've been working from home since the surgery. Today is my last day working from home. I'll be back in the office on Monday. I wonder if they'll let me take a nap?

I went to the DR yesterday and got my staples out! I was so excited that I took a bra with me and wore it on the way home. I'm now down 25 lbs. I'm on to the crunchy food diet. I can eat all chips, crisp bacon, nuts, and dry cereal. I can't wait to get to the store and buy some chex mix. I'll go again in another 2 weeks to get my 9-10 month diet. He still doesn't feel that the shakes are important for me to be taking at this point.

Tonight was the first time that we've gone out as a family to dinner. Not only that, it was also the first time back eating at O'Charleys AND there were 4 other people there. None of them know (yet) that I've had the surgery.  I'm so proud of myself. I didn't even reach for a roll. I ordered water since they didn't have decaf tea. For my meal I got a cup of their potato soup without bacon and the extra cheese. I planned on not eating the potatoes, just the soup part. Well I did it. We went to Target to walk around after and I told DH that it wasn't as hard as I thought that it was going to be. DH hasn't ever had a weight problem. He says that he is about 20 lbs higher then he wants to be. He is on WW. He said that it is easier to make good choices with the choices that I am making. That made me smile. To think that I am helping him keeps me going too. My DH is the best DH ever!!!

I'm down 22 lbs! I couldn't stand not knowing about my staples so I broke down and called my DR. They said that I will get them out on Monday! I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to wear something besides sweat pants and t-shirts. Today is a good day. I don't really have bad days anymore. I have a torn ACL (yep still torn 2 years later) and my knees don't bothering me like they used to. I'm so happy.

I'm down 21 pounds! I'm really tired today. I went to Target for lunch and to see a friend this evening. This is probably the most that I have done in one day since the surgery. Today I had 24 oz water and 8 oz milk. I can't wait to see what my next phase will be. Monday is just a few days away. I will be going shopping with my mother, grandmother, and sister on black Friday. I can't wait. It will be the most walking that I have done so far. Every year after the first store (Kohls) I always hit Starbucks. I wonder what new tradition I can start this year?

I've lost 20 lbs. Isn't that crazy! We are hosting Thanksgiving next week as we do every year. I think that it will be fun. I will be the only one eating all day and still feeling great. I'm able to drink milk. So far it has not bothered me. I'm finally getting in all of my liquids. I'm hoping to get the staples out soon. I can't wait to wear everyday clothes. Since I have the staples I can't wear a bra or pants. I've been wearing t-shirts and sweat pants. I'm not sure what I would do if it was summer. I go back to the DR on 11/19.

So I made it one week! I'm excited to say that I've lost 17 lbs. That is so crazy to even think about. I know it's b/c I'm hardly eating and trying to walk everyday, but 17 in 7 days! DH is so wonderful! I can't say enough about him. I'm worried that I'm not getting enough liquid in. I try to sip all day but I get full and I don't get hungry again. It is funny that 3 weeks ago I woke up every morning knowing what I was going to have for dinner and now I don't even care! This ROCKS!

Day 6 post op

Nov 09, 2007

I have lost 11 pounds so far. For once in my life I am excited to get out of bed in the morning and get on the scale. It feels great! DH is just wonderful he has been so supportive I could not have done this without him. I had my first BM last night. Everything seems to be working fine. I'm not able to wear a bra because my staples go up so high. The girls need some support! I see the DR again next Monday so maybe then I'll get them out and I can wear a bra again. I hope!!!

This is my first post after the operation. Things are coming along just fine. I am on the road to recovery. I had my surgery Monday and just got home from the hospital yesterday. The last time I had pain medication was last night. I am trying to not to take any during the day. My diet at this point is broth, sugar free jello, unsweetened applesauce, and water. I try to walk a mile a day. Not all at once b/c I don't want to over do it. I am having trouble with eating all day. I'm not hungry and I don't want to get sick. That is it for now.
