Well, I gues Denial just isn't a river in Egypt! I finally saw a photo of myself and said...that's it!
I'm blessed enough to be able to travel the world and have no pictures from the last 5 years of steady weight gain.
I told my husband he could only take pic's from the neck up and even those were getting more and more round
After taking care of so many people for the past 5 years, I had neglected myself. I got liposuction, but it didn't work.
After having a mother who died from obesity related issues, I got the blessing from my husband to go for it! 
I started off wanting the band, because I thought it was less permanent. However, I have decided on the sleeve, for my own personal reasons. One of which I know a few people who regained on their bands and the hassle and cost of "fills" didn't fit my schedule very well.
I'm glad to find a forum such as this, it's been a world of help already and I hope to meet many new friends. Now if I coulld just figure out how to download the ticker thingie on this site.
