"LOVED this hospital! Definitely cannot judge a book by its cover when it comes to this place! The outside looks old and run down... but the inside is just the opposite. The rooms were private and comfortable, and the staff were terrific!! Loved my day nurse, and my night nurse gave me as much information as I could handle (considering it was the middle of the night and was up WALK, WALK, WALKING after my surgery). The only times I got frustrated, were when I was initially checking in and found out how much I had to pay out of pocket to the hospital (that was a bit of a shocker because I wasn't expecting it. The call the night before to confirm my appointment had mentioned SOMETHING, but didn't go into detail) and while waiting to get released from the hospital. It didn't seem like I could get a solid answer about when that was going to happen, so my ride went home, only to get a call from me an hour later to come back and get me. I felt bad. But, other than those 2 things, my stay was absolutely terrific.
Something does need to be done about parking though. My mother walks with a cane, and we had to park at the complete opposite end of the hospital because it was the only spot open. There was some construction going on at the time, so that could possibly be why, but overall, just doesn't seem like there is enough parking for the staff and the patients and the visitors....
But.... would do it all again. :)"
