Well, today is it. My new start. I weighed in at 247.8. Surgery started a little slow, they had a hard time finding a vein for my IV.
Found it at last. They wheeled me in at 12:00 PM.
At 6:30 PM I woke up in the Recovery Room, the next thing I remember was waking up in my room at 7:30PM. My DH was there and my nurse. DH stayed for a short time, I suggested he leave I was very tired. At 9:30 that evening I walked for the first time. Prior to my walk when I was standing up blood started to run out of one of my incisions. My nurse put to thick pads and a Binder on me the bleeding stopped. I think she was more nervous than I was. I remember walking at least two more times that evening or in the middle of the night. Total I used the pain pump 5 times and that was just to satisfy my nurse. I would say overall I fell as if I had done a million sit ups or a truck ran over my mid section. It hurt but I have had worse.
