Well it has been a few days over a year since my surgery. and i have not posted here like i should. 
I am a very slow loser which i think is ok. Maybe a bit faster would be lot better but i have lost 107 lbs in the past 12 months.  Pretty happy about it

My eating choices have not been the best. I don't dump...... arghhhhhh..
bad bad me for finding that out.....
I tend to eat alot of crackers and carbs...... not good either.
and i don't take my vitamins lke i should.

All things i know i really need to focus on.
Exercise too..... while i am at it.....

But i am doing great
I am down to a size 18 in my clothes from a tight size 32.

I have been losing inches over the past six months altho my weight is pretty consistently stagnant. :o) but i feel good and that is all that really matters

I am not fixated on my scale. I don't weigh in every day and track it anymore. Maybe i should but i am really going by how i feel and not by the number.

I am going to catch up on the forums etc. I will start posting again.
I feel that it is important for me to stay accountable and i  have been lacking in that regard.

Boy what a slacker i have been.  Bout darn time i update this.. ;o)

Ok not much to exciting has been going on since i last posted....LOL
I am losing very very slowly.. But i think that is just fine. It will give my skin a chance to catch up to my body..  Least that is what is getting me by..
I am down 85 lbs so far.... I am happy with that. the inches are falling off.
I started at a size 30 jeans and i am down to a size 22.
My ultimate goal is to hit 190      and right now i am at 267.5       so not horribly far away.

I have had absolutely no complications since surgery.. Yeahhh Me..

I eat what ever i want.. I don't dump.. 
Still can't tolerate Chicken very well or Pasta....... but that is ok there is other food i enjoy.

I am a bit of a slacker with my vitamins. but i am doing better.  Live and learn i guess....... I have moved to swallowing my multi vitamin (GNC Solotron) instead of doing my flinstones.

Here is what i take
1 SoloTron Multivitamin
4 Twin Lab Calcium Citrate Wafers
1 500mcg B-12

Not to bad.    I do add fiber a few times a week.... Just for giggles really..

I was having a hard time w/ my hair.. It was falling out.. not horribly but pretty gosh darn bad. I would wash my hair and it would feel like old baby doll hair...gross..... much better now.. probably lasted for 3 months from month 3-6.     I will be 8 months out at the end of the year..... not to shabby.

Next year at this time i will start researching plastic surgeons.   Gonna see what we can do about these boobs.... sure there is more i want done but first things first...... :O)

Ok campers i am outta here... Gonna see if i have a more riecent pic to put up...
I will try and take one w/ my sister over the holidays and post that too.
She had RNY in July. (sallyone)

Hi All,

Well my sister just yelled at me for not updating my profile... ;o)

So here i am .. Not to much exiciting is going on here. The usual work and goofing off. 

I am feeling great. I am down to 302 today.. Yeahhhhhhh..
I am trying to get down below 300 before my next appt with Dr Kennedy. The apt is on Aug 1st so that should be very do able. 

Food is going well.  Chicken is still not being nice to me so i have given up on it for now.. 

I do need to find some new recipes for different dinner meals for me. I am getting tired of the same old things... So some variety is needed...... 
So i will begin scowering through my cookbooks and see what i can come up with. 

Well that is pretty much it for me. 

My sister susan is having the surgery on the 31st of July so she is very excited and I will be watching her son while she is at the hospital. So i will be very buzy then..

Ok enough of my rambling..

Well today is Friday.. Yeahhhhhhhh.. altho i am working all weekend to many hours it is still ok.. Off on Monday.. LOL

I had my 7 week Post Op appt w/ Surgeon and Nutritionist on the 20th. All went well. 
I am doing good They are happy with the weight i am losing and the speed. I am not but hey they are the professionals.. LOL
The only thing they frowned at me about was that i ate a few saltine crackers.  Told me no saltines. could eat wheat crackers.. But the wheat crackers are to hard to chew up good.  They said if i don't eat saltines alot then they guess it would be ok.. Like twice a month maybe. LOL
Saltines w/ Peanut Butter.. Yummy.. :O)

I am switching up what vitamins i am taking.. LOL

Will be taking 
GNC SoloCaps multivitamin. has the b complex in it. They say it is better than the Flintstones complete they told me to take last time. LOL
Twin Labs Calcium Wafers..  Can't stand my citrical soft chews now. To sweet or someting.

So not to bad...... Well i have to get to work...... Hope everyone is having a great day

Hi Everyone,

Well not to much exciting here. 
I am sllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwllllllllyyyyyy losing.
I am kinda stuck at 312.0 which is ok.. It is  40.5 lbs gone forever. But still i would love to see that scale move. 
I decided i needed to get some sun. So i bought a baby blowup pool at walmart for 30 bucks and i have been sitting in it in the back yard. It is nice and relaxing.. :)      and no one can see me... LOL
Cuz i am still not sexy in a bathing suit.... LOL

I do have a follow up appt w/ surgeon and nutritionist on Wednesday the 20th........ don't really think to much exciting will go on.. I am eating good and feeling great. just not losing fast enough for me.. ;O) but probably fast enough for them.. LOL

I will check back in after that appt.

Hi Everyone,

Ok well it is not to exciting here. ;O)
My scale did finally move a bit.   I am down to 316.0 today yeah. that is a total loss of 36.5 lbs since the beginning of liquid diet....... a loss of 20.5 lbs since surgery.     I am pleased with that.

I am eating more and more good food...  Keeping my portions down as instructed.

I did try chicken breast two days ago and that did not sit to well so i will not bother with that again.. for a good long while

I dont' have my next visit with my surgeon until June 20th.

I need to really focus on taking my vitamins every day.. I hate hate hate taking pills.... even chewables... LOL..               Not sure if my surgeon will order blood work or if it is something that my PCP will do.. if she doesn't do it on the next appy i will make an appt with my PCP to check my blood work.

Ok that is just about it........

Hi Everyone,

Well nothing to exciting has been going on since my last post.
I am still eating well and not really losing any weight. Only about 1 lbs a week. I will actually take anything.I know there is usually a stall at the beginning.. So i am rolling with it.

For those that read the posts wondering what the heck we are eating.. Here is some stuff that i normally eat daily or weekly

NSA Carnation Instant Breakfast.
Skim Milk
Cottage Cheese
Yogurt
String Cheese (new)
Salmon, Tilapia, Flounder
Meatloaf (new) need better recipe.
any and all Soup
Motts for Tots Apple Juice
Tuna and Chicken Salad
Egg Salad
Scrambled Eggs w/ Cheese
Mashed Potatoes.

Sure there is more just can't think of them now.. :O)

Some times i feel like i am eating ahead of my week but everything is going down fine.  I have had no issues besides over eating twice. Enough to tell me stop stop stop.. but not ever getting sick..  wished i had one time but i was able to sit and wait till it went down and feel better.

I really feel good. No complaications.  I am going to start doing some exercise this week..... More than just my walking. Won't really do ab work untill after my official week 6 post op.  That is when i will be cleared for all exercise.

So far since my pre op liquid diet i have lost 32 lbs........... only 17 lbs since surgery.          I am pleased with those numbers .. wish it would come off faster but actually a slower loss is better i guess. ;o)

Well enough of my ramblings.....

Hi Everyone,

Not a whole lot going on today.
Tomorrow is my 2 1/2 week Post-Op visit with Dr Kennedy and Laura the Nutritionist.
I have kinda expanded my food list.. ;O)
this week I have added  1/4 c cottage Cheese, 1/4 c Tuna Salad and 1/4 c FF Refried Beans.
All went down very well.  No problems so far. 
I know how important it is to measure everything so i am being very anal about it all.
I am still not doing my protein shakes etc. Which i really need to start back up on because i am really only getting in about 20-30 grams of protein a day.  I will try them again this week and see if i can tolerate them.
Feeling great over all. All incisions look great. No pain what so ever. 

Well that is about it for this update I will update again tomorrow after my Dr appt.

Hi All,

Still feeling pretty good. 
I did cheat and add yogurt and some very pureed soup.  that has been a lifesaver.
I did learn a valuable lesson on Thursday.. Drinking during meals lets you get wayyyy more food in than you should. I knew i was doing that but not really bad. I have just been soo thirsty.. 
So thursday night i decided to make my soup 1/2 c split pea very pureed and eat that for dinner. Well i made a very conscious effort to not drink while eating the soup......... OMG.   1/2 c was a bit much. I felt so full. Not in my tummy but in my chest and throat.  I had to lay down and relax and eventurally sip on water.  That made me feel like crap ola all day Friday.  I feel better today but will really focus on not over eating or drinking during a meal.         You know I know they say the Rules for a reason....... ;O)
I am having problems getting in all my protein.  I am just tired of the shakes etc.  I guess the 2 weeks liquid diet living on them and then a week out i am just tired of them.
I am going to really focus on drinking them again this week. I know i need to get in my protein.        I hope when the nutritionist really moves me to purreed foods that i can add a bit more choices to my diet and maybe it won't be so hard.  Egg salad sounds good. ;O)

Other than all that nonsence I am doing great. Incisions look good. Feeling stronger. Trying to walk more and more.  And not nap so much. LOL.

Well i am officially 5 days post op.
And I feel great.  I am in no pain and i am sleeping very well. 
Trying to walk a good deal and drinking my water and working on getting in a good bit of protein.

I really really want some yogurt or cottage cheese.. LOL but i know it is not time for that yet so i am trying to stay strong.  I don't want to rush it and mess something up.

My 2 week consult w/ Dr Kennedy is on May 16th.  Hopefully she will put me on purees then.  Tomato soup, yogurt, applesauce... LOL ahhhhhhhhhhhh.. LOL

Doing good on weight loss as well. I weigh in every day.. And this morning i was at  328.5      i started liquid diet  at 352.5    sooo  drum roll pelase........ LOL        down  24 lbs so far....... not to shabby.

Ok just wanted to check in......
