Well, I am all set now for my return to San Antonio on Sunday. I have my plane tickets and I have my drive set up with passenger services to take me to the airport in Minneapolis. I treated myself today. I went and bought two new pairs of jeans and my first pair of shorts that I haven't had to have an elastic waist on. I have now dropped from a size 28 to a size 20. It's so exciting!!!!! I still have to call Tom to set up for him to drive me to my appointment with Dr. Rincon on the 30th and I'll also need to have him drive me to the airport Wednesday morning. I am so excited to meet Mari on Sunday. I know that we're just going to be wonderful friends!!!

Well, my weight is now at 239#. I saw Dr. Ippel and my cholesterol dropped from 196 to 156. He started me on a different medication as he wants it under 140 by the time I see him again in three months. He couldn't believe my weight loss. He is so proud of me!!! I am off all medications now except the cholesterol meds. I am going to be flying back to San Antonio on April 29th and will see Dr. Rincon my 2nd fill on the 30th. Marivonne, another patient of Dr. Rincon's and I have been emailing each other. She called me at work and she is going to pick me up at the airport, take me to my hotel and then we're going to go have lunch. I am so excited to meet her. I thought it was so nice that she called me and offered to do this for me. She lives in Austin and is going to make the hour drive just so that we can meet. What a wonderful person!! I will need to contact Tom soon to set up for him to take me to my appointment with Dr. Rincon and when I go back to the airport.

I emailed Dr. Rincon on Friday because my weight loss has really slowed down. I haven't even lost 10 lbsin the last month. He emailed me back on Sunday and asked me to email my phone number and he will call me. I am now down to 246.6 lbs. Hopefully Dr. Rincon will call me today or tomorrow and say that I'm okay to have another fill. I see Dr. Ippel on Friday to have my cholesterol checked again. Hopefully that is coming down, too.

Well, it's been nearly a month since my sister and I went back to San Antonio to see Dr. Rincon. I saw Dr. Rincon on Feb. 9th to have my 1st band fill. My weight loss at that time was 34 lbs. As of today,  I am down to 254.98 lbs. Sheri and I had a wonderful time. We went to the Alamo and did the Riverwalk. It was so beautiful!! Sheri and I go to the gym three times a week now. Toby now has our treadmill and AB Lounger set up in the basement so the days that I don't go to the gym I can use that if I want to.

Well, it has been two weeks since my surgery. I am now down 20 lbs. Everyone says they can see it in my face, but I can't yet and that's frustrating. Today I started on baby foods/pureed food. I had 4 Tbsp of baby food for breakfast, but that was too much and I got sick to my stomach. I will cut back to two for a while.

We made it home fine last night. We even treated ourselves and upgraded to 1st Class on the trip home. It was nice!! I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 287.8. It makes me feel so good to see the scale moving!!! My mom and sister came to visit me today. That was so nice!! My mom brought me a Gardenia bath set--smells great!

Went for several walks today. It feels good to be out of that hotel. I called Dr. Rincon's office today to set up my next appointment for my 1st fill. I will be coming back down here on Feb. 12th. My sister Sheri is going to fly down for that trip with me. We are then going to go see The Alamo and do the Riverwalk, which is something Toby and I aren't going to get to do. We fly back home tomorrow. That is the soonest that Dr. Rincon would allow me to leave. It will be good to go home and see my babies. I miss them!!!!

Well, surgery went well!! The surgery took a little longer than expected as Dr. Rincon had trouble getting my band to stay in place, but he got it. I had to have some medication for nausea after I came to, then, unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to that medication. They had to give me Benadryl. I have a rash on my hand and my hand is quite swollen. I am sore, but its not too bad. The worst part is the gas that has now settled into my shoulder. That hurts!!! The worst pain I am feeling is my lower left abdomen area. Hopefully in a few days it will be better.

Well,  I was at Dr. Rincon's office at 9:30am. First I met with Brenda, the Psychologist. What a nice lady!! Dr. Rincon also performed her Lap Band. She shared her experience with me and asked me lots of questions. She cleared me mentally for the surgery. She even showed me her incisions and they are not at all bad. Next,  I met with Lucy, the dietician. She went over  the diet I will have to follow for the rest of my life. We set up a specific plan to meet my needs. I was weighed and my weight today is 296.4#. Then I finally got to meet Dr. Rincon. He brought my husband back in case he had any questions, too. He explained what is going to happen tomorrow. He then drew on my stomach where all my incisions will be. Toby asked him how much pain will be involved in all this and he said well, I won't feel anything. That gave all of us a good chuckle. We have to be at the surgery center at 5:30am and I am scheduled for surgery at 7am.

Well, Toby & I arrived in San Antonio. We had a nice driver that Dr. Rincon set us up with. His name is Tom. We are staying at the Red Roof Inn. I have been on a strict diet that Dr. Rincon puts all his patients on for two weeks prior to surgery. It allows for your body to burn fat off your liver quicker to allow for easier placement of your Lap Band. Tonight we are going for spaghetti, my last real meal for several weeks. I meet Dr. Rincon tomorrow morning and I'm very excited.
