Day after surgery

It is one day after my surgery and I actually feel great! Dr. Alvarez and his staff have been absolutely amazing. I am in very very little pain. I havent ate in 3 days and surprisingly enought I am not hungry. And watching my parents scarf down these Mexican burritos havent been to torturous! I cannot wait to go home and get settled and have some chicken broth. I start juice and jello tomorrow. So far I have lost 13 pounds pre op and am soooo excited. Everything has been sooo amazing. Dr. Alvarez and his staff exceeded my expectations. They are constantly checking in on me and have made me feel so comforatable. I would recommend him to anyone. God Bless You All!!!

Packing for surgery

I am so excited I cannot hardly stand it. I am just sitting here tryin to think about all the things I am going to need to take with me to Mexico for my surgery, scheduled Oct 23!! . I know I will forget something.. I always do. I must admit I am scared to death about this plane flight. It will be my first one and will most likely be during a thunderstorm. That is not what I was hoping for on my first flight. I cannot wait to get to Mexico and meet my Dr. There have been so many wonderful posts on here about him and it brings peace to my heart. I know everything is in Gods hands but I cannot help but worry that there will be some sort of complication. If not with the surgery than the flight. However, hearing so many great comments about peoples experiences really makes me a little more at ease about the whole thing. I have to be strong and not be scared because my parents are a nervous wreck. They worry so much about me. I cannot let them down. I am just ready to begin this exciting journey for a new life. One without shortness of breath going to class, not being embarrassed of my size around my sorority sisters, and not having to spend the rest of my life paying for overpriced plus size clothes. I cant wait to feel good about myself and be proud of my appearance. God Bless you all and good luck to everyone on their journey!!
