Got married at 17, gained 98lbs with my son, 5yrs later gained 66lbs with daughter, haven't seen 160lbs since then, my weight was never a big issue, my ex seemed to want me a plus size, never onced got on me about my weight unless I started to lose, but once I got divorced and a few medical problems I knew it was time to lose weight and keep it off.

Like other's for the last 27yrs I have gained/lost weight, in the last year I know several people that has had the lap band and it works for them, but I also know I have to work and change how I eat, if I want to lose the weight and keep it off, and I do want to lose this weight,  I know I will have to try hard and believe it can happen if I want it to, my fibro is so bad and painful it controls my life, but I'm taking my life back.

I'm 44 and I want to beable to get up and do things I use to do, doctors want me to excercise in water I have several bone disease's that don't help the fibro,  I use to think the impossible was possible no matter what and if you tried hard enough to make it happen, in 2002 I got hurt at work and had to have neck surgery etc, life will never be the same, I felt 20 one day and 60 the next, god only gives uswhat we can handle, and makes us become a stronger person.

I think a divorce changes a person, we change from our dislikes/likes, what once made us happy doesn't anymore, our needs and wants change, trust even becomes a bigger issues, I know I will never take life for granted again, one day you think you have it all, and you find out a week later, life is not as you thought it was.

So I'm starting a new life which will be alot healthier, I have been impressed by all the positive people on this site and the success stories on here, and hopefully I will be one too. I have alot of faith in the man upstairs,
