I've been out of commission for a while and havent been able to pursue the WLS path. I had some setbacks due to medical problems. I am pressing harder than ever to get approval now. My Doc said that she will submit for the referral and I'll go from there. I'm prepared to appeal if necessary but again I ask for your prayers and God's favor! I want to live fully and I know this is a step in the right direction. Keep sending up your prayers! Thanks!

Hi, it's been a while-over a month. I've been busy busy busy with moving a learning new job duties-yes! I'm still jumping through the preliminary hoops though. Doctors' test and visits, and desperately trying to get approval to see Dr. Thoburn. VISTA is not helpful and have already denied my co-worker the initial consult. I'm still going to press forward. Pray for favor!

7/13/04 Hi everyone! Yes, I'm STILL excited. My PCP says I have her support 100% and that whatever I need just ask. She's already referred me to two other specialts for test and evaluations that I need for the surgeon. Now, I feel like I'm moving forward. I haven't told my family yet. I'm going to wait until I have a surgery date. I want a little negativity as possible. Pray that this process will go smoothly for me. : )

Hi everyone! I'm so excited about this site! It's true what they say about misery loving company... Anyway, I decided a month ago to have WLS and become a big LOSER. I meet with my PCP in two days. I've had this appointment for 3months. It takes forever to get in w/o an injury. I plan to ask for my Dr.'s full support and I expect to get it. I've been researching FOREVER snd had decided on a center and doctor. Anyone out there have any helpful hints or suggestions about dealing with HPSE/Vista insurance? Tina A.
