Hi Missy! I hear your surgery is coming up. It's normal to have so many emotions (mostly fear) but all you have to do is show up. You will be in very capable hands, and so many people will be sending you well wishes. When I was just learning about this surgery, this website was invaluable to me. Now that I am 2 years' out, I feel the same way. The members of this site lift my spirits when I cannot do it for myself. I know you will come to view this is the best thing you have ever done for yourself, just as I have. The changes didn't happen overnight, but they DID happen. You are about to embark on a new chapter of your life. If I can be of any emotional support, I hope you won't hesitate to contact me. I am moving over to make room for YOU on the loser's bench. Friday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else.
