My name is Melissa, I am 30 yrs old. i am married and i have had 4 pregancies, and 4 growing boys. i also have 2 step sons.
I am from Northern utah, but for the last 11 years i have lived in Wyoming.
I have struggled with my weight most of my life. always heavier than others my age, in grade school and junior high school.
always got made fun of. but for the most part with work, i could control my weight. after i have my last child, which is 9 years old now, i have struggled to take the weight off. the harder i try, the more i gain. I have been looking at weight loss surgery for several years, and i always talked myself out of it. Thinking that one more diet, more exercise, watch what i ate, ect. ect. ect..... the sad part, is always just kept gaining weight. and one day when i got up and started moving around and was out of breath just wrestlilng with my husband and children, and i hardly did anything, i couldn't ignore myself anymore, and realized i wanted my life back. so one day while at the doctors office, i saw a brochure for the weight loss surgery center, in wyoming and i went home and looked on their website, and emailed the nurse practicioner, and that is when my journey began.
Well surgery has come, and gone. At first, i honestly regretted it because i was in so much pain, and i was just miserable. but now that i am healing and LOSING WEIGHT!!!! my attitude has changed. i am learning to live with my new pouch, and learning new life ways, and am doing better. i am thankful now for what i did.
