Today was the day I have been waiting for.......the new insurance that I applied for was approved!!!!!! I know that they cover the surgery so now I can really kick this thing into overdrive!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited!!!!!!

Well I went for my psych eval yesterday. I feel that it went well. Dr. Singh and Averbach sent a packet of papers for me to have completed before my appointment in June.....this was one of the requirements. The doctor I saw didnt have alot of knowledge of the surgery so I had to educate him!!! But I went prepared and armed with tons of print-outs!!! He seemed very impressed with all the research I have done and my ambition not only to educate myself but my desire to change(save) my life. He asked me to write an essay about the surgery, my life, and how I preceive the changes that could occur in my life after wls.  I completed that in no time and forwarded it over to him. I guess he was expecting a few paragraphs and what he got was a few pages. I covered my history, co-morbities, life as an over weight woman, my perception of the surgery and what my personal goals are, the lifestyle changes before and after wls, knowledge of possible complications, and even my support system........this is where this site and ALL OF YOU  came into play! He was shocked that such a site and group of people existed.....I blew him away!!!! Even though I have only talked to you all online, you are a major part of my support system and my research process and I want to say THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE OF YOU BRAVE SOULS WHO SHARE YOUR STORY ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!! WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING YOU HAVE BECOME A FRIEND TO ME AND HAVE HELPED ME THROUGH THE PROCESS THUS FAR!!!!!!!! 
The psych doctor was so impressed with my paper, he asked if could forward that with his report!!!! I am so excited that just this appointment went so well! I pray that the rest go as good! I will keep you guys posted on my journey!!!! Again, thank you all and God bless!
