I am down 25 pounds so far... That's great... I feel better physically ! But it seems as if its a slow process. I don't know if I expected the weight to fall off or what!!! Eating has been a challenge but I am taking things day by day! Physically I am unable to eat the way I used too. But mentally I feel like I am starving... Sounds so damn crazy but its my truth! I keep Focused on God and pray that my mental catches up with the physical soon! I just received my Zumba workout set... So I am going to salsa this weight off and have "FUN" doing so ...  

Dr. Lin and his staff are the "BEST" and I would recommend him to "Everyone" in the Atlanta area...
Wow a week post -op and I must say that the easiest part is the surgery ...because all I did was follow my pre-op diet and arrive on time for my procedure (lol)! Learning how to eat again has been the biggest challenge so far... But I am hanging in there. It has been an emotional roller coaster! I have had some good days and unfortunately some bad days but I won't complain (smile) ---- No Regrets here

FINALLY AFTER MONTHS OF PREPARING... PHYSICIAN SUPERVISED DIET... GROUP NUTRITION CLASS... PSYCHOLOGICAL ... EGD... CARDIAC STRESS TEST... BLOOD TEST... PULMONARY TEST...  CHEST XRAY ...  ETC...
FELT LIKE IT TOOK FOREVER...I  AM SO EXCITED !!!  TO HAVE MADE IT TO THIS POINT WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS... ON 09/20/10... I WILL BEGIN ON A NEW JOURNEY... EVERYTHING I HAD TO ENDURE MADE IT WORTHWHILE... PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

On May 6th ~  me being me and lacking patience to wait on EBC to notify  me of Aetna's decision. I called Aetna to check on the status of my pre-certification for surgery and was told that I was approved.  One of the happiest days of my life!!! I am scheduled for Pre-Admit testing / Nutritional Class on June 2, I am excited and nervous all at the same time!!! I
know for a fact my surgery will be delayed because I am a smoker... so now I am dealing with the challenge of "Kicking" this habit so there is nothing standing in my way of me having the surgery! 

OK let me say this in the three years I've been a member ..I never posted to my blog... I sat back on sidelines while others on OH was losing pounds.. well OH ... I am off the bench and in the game! (LOL )

I met with Dr. Lin on 04/14/2010. Yeaaaah, That went well!!! I was so nervous and really didn't know what to expect. So, now that I have that over and done with. I have one other appointment with Dr. Williams @ Emory Bariatric Center and the Megan the dietitian then... they will be able to submit my documentation to Aetna for approval. I'm so so sooooooooo excited with this second chance at life!!!
