I had my Nutritionist appointment yesterday and that went very well! I got my "grocery list" for my 2 week pre-op diet which was exciting and my pre-op surgery diet starts on Tuesday 11/11/14!!! Wow that is in 7 days! It feels so real now, I am not nervous about the surgery yet but that is because I am super nervous about the pre-op diet!~ I can do this, I will do this, I have come so far, nothing is stopping me from achieving my goal......that goal being get through the pre-op diet with out cheating! My moto is "that which does not kill me, makes me stronger" so that is how I am approaching this diet and then the rest of my life! I can do this because if I don't do it, that means I died and I don't want to die so losers bench here I come!

Got a call from my doctor's office yesterday and they confirmed that my surgery is indeed 11/25/14 and I have PAT's (Pre-Admissions Testing) scheduled for 11/11/14 so I am finally moving forward and I will be heading to the losers bench in less than 60 days! So I have given myself a personal goal to be below 300 pounds before my surgery even if that means being at 299.6 at least I will be below 300. So I started yesterday after I got the call. I will have a protein shake for breakfast, a protein (lo carb, lo fat) lunch, and the same type of dinner while cutting out snacking and going to the gym at least 3 days a week (only 1 hour each day) - I know that 16 pounds is a lot to lose in 54 days but if I believe, then I can achieve!  Let's do this!

As part of my pre-surgery requirements, I have to attend a minimum of 2 support group meetings and yesterday was my first one. It was ok, there was a mix of pre-op and post-op patients so it was very interesting to learn more about the differnt surgeries. I have 1 more meeting to attend and I will be done with my requirements. Surgery here I come!

I got a call on Monday from my doctor's office saying that my file was approved by the insurance, psychologist, and sleep center. The last signature they were waiting on was the Surgeon who will be doing the actual surgery. They also confirmed that the doctor would be in Friday (TOMORROW) and he would be signing off on files to go out for surgery and that would mean I would end up getting a date of November 25, 2014 - that was so exciting to hear but now I am waiting on waiting?? If that makes any sense. I am waiting for the doctor to sign off so I can get put on the list for surgery and get my date confirmed. Well I won't complain many people have had to wait 6+ months to get their surgery scheduled. I just started my process in August and I have my date in 3 months so GOD is good to me.
