I joined a week or so ago, and was having issues with my doctor not wanting to refer me for WLS as she thought I should just start 'moving'  and join WW again! I am 47 yrs old, and have been a member of WW on and off since I was 17!  I am at the heaviest I have ever been, even when 9 months pregnant with my son at 38 yrs old.  I went back to same doctor on Thursday this week and she had a change of heart and faxed in my referral on Thursday!!!!   I have researched WLS and read soooo much on this website, I am ready for this......or I believe I am.  I just went through some before and after photos and one member really hit home with me.  She appeared to be my age and weighed the same.  I just spent the last hour reading her blog and it is what inspired me to start my own.  Not sure if anyone will ever read it, and that is OK, it is for me at the moment.  Maybe one day my WLS journey will inspire another.........
