Hi everyone! Geez oh man... It's been so long since I have updated my blog! So far, up to date I have lost 182 pounds since my bypass. I wear a size 4 pants and size small for my tops and my shoe size went down from 9 12 WIDE to 8 reg...
This was the best thing that I could have done for myself. Happy, healthy....

Hey everyone ! Not much to update at this time. I am doing well. Soon approaching my 1 year anniversery on the 29th of this month !!! I can't believe its been a year already. My bypass truly saved my life. Hopefully I will be reaching my goal weight soon. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hi everyone, good afternoon! I am happy to say that I haven't had any more of those very unpleasant gas pains for quite some time now. LOL.....Yay!! I am doing very well and feel great. I can't express enough how fortunate I am to be able to have had the bypass. My health is awesome and life is great. Take care

Good afternoon! It's been awhile since I have posted. I am doing great. I have lost a total of 111 pounds. Everything has been going really well. Although I did go through a couple months of having terrible gas pains. I tried everything but found that the gasx disolvables work the best. My hair has been thinning quite a bit lately for the past month. BUt, I have read that this process is "normal". Thank you to all for your continued support. I don't know what I would do without all of you. xoxo

Good morning ! Well I'm officially on the "losers side" now. Yay !!! My surgery went really well. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. I have 5 tiny little incisions. One was for the J.p drain which was taken out before I left to go home. Dr Shen and his staff at Emerson Hospital from the bariatric office are awesome. They all came to visit me each day in the hospital to see how I was doing. I am now down 23 pounds and feeling good. Thank you to all for all your thoughts and prayers. I will write again soon. Hi everyone! Well, today is the day before my surgery. I am getting excited but very nervous also. I have to drink 64 ounces of gatorade with laxative powder today between 10 and 2:00 today. Oh my goodness. I still have another 32 ounces to down and its 1:22 right now. I cant really taste the laxative but i just dont care much for the gatorade. My belly is really rumpling right now. OH my goodness, and I am at work so hopefully I will be okay untill I get home tonight. WEll, I will be home on Friday . I will update then. See everyone on the losing side.. !!!!!!!!

Good morning ! I went to my pre surgical testing on Friday. They took blood and went over everything that will happen on the day of surgery. After that appointment I went to my last Bariatric appointment that I will have before my surgery on the 29th. The nurse went over what to expect the day of and the days to follow. I have to have clear liquids the day before surgery and drink a mix of gaterade and powder laxative to prepare for the surgery.

Hi Everyone ! Well, today is my birthday. I turn 32 today. Woo hoo. So far I have had almost all of my Bariatric appointments completed. My surgery has been aproved by my insurance and is scheduled for November 29, 2006 !!!!!!!! I'm so excited. Nervous as heck but excited. I love this website. Everyone is so kind and caring !! Well, that's it for now. I will write more in a few days after my next appointment. Have a great weekend !!!

Hi everyone ! Well, I am just starting out this journey of weight loss surgery. I am planning on having the RNY done. I had attended the weight loss information session at Emerson Hospital and already had my appointments with the nurse, mental health clinician and dietician. This Thursday I go for my ekg and Friday I go for my upper gi , ultrasound of the abdomen, chest x-ray and lab work. Then I will go back on August 4th to meet with the surgeon and the dietician to go over everything and to submit everything to the insurance company. ( I have hmo blue/Mass ) I will update as I go along. Thanks for stopping by.
