"Dr. Malik has been my pyschiatrist long before I started looking into obesity surgery. He is very professional and extremely thorough. He is kind of quiet and he listens intently to you. He is honest and cares about the quality of care that you receive from him. He will give an honest accessment of your readiness or lack of readiness to proceed with this surgery because he truly cares about your psychological well being. He was supportive of my decision to have surgery from the beginning, once he determined that I was doing this for the right reasons...and continues to support and show interest in my progress."
"I started my process of checking into bariatric surgery in July/2005. From the first phone call to Dr. Vanguri's office to the present, I have had nothing but a positive and professional experience. The girls in the office (Beverly, Bonnie, & Darlene) are beautiful, caring people. It helps also that Bev has also had bariatric surgery, so she understands first hand all of our anxieties and concerns. Dr. Vanguri is a very patient, attentive, informative man. He does not try to speak to you in terms that will be over your head. He is always willing to answer your questions, no matter how big or small or silly they may seem to you. He is very straight forward and he makes sure that you are fully aware that bariatric surgery is not a quick fix, but together in partnership...you doing what you are supposed to do, and him doing his part...you can be successful. He and his staff conduct a monthly meeting...the 3rd Sunday of every month for those that have had or are considering the surgery. There we talk about any and everything concerning the surgery pre/post op. There is also alot of information given to us to help ensure that we are successful in our weightloss goals. I would truly recommend him with full confidence to anyone considering this life altering journey. The only \"problem\" I had is that there was at the time that I started looking into bariatric surgery a waiting time frame of about two months before my first appointment, but even so, this was a shorter time frame than other doctors that I considered before making my final choice."
