Hi Nancy, your still in the early stages and your body does some things we are not used to. I would suggest if the pain and gas persist much longer to consult a physician to make sure that all it is is gas. I always felt the days in the hospital and the first week at home were the most difficult and then you start dealing with what and when and how much...etc etc....try to be strong but dont let yourself suffer to long without getting help. I know I called my surgeon three or four times in the early stages with questions. Good luck and dont be worried that you use a wrong word or phrase...this sight is all about expressing our feelings and being suportive. Dont let a few take away this great support...Ive made some comments about how i felt and got some people mad, that is there problem. It was an opinion I observed and wanted to share. I didnt answer the people who were mean. Keep us informed how your doing...a big hug to you, Cindy S.

Nancy, I just read the recent posts and I'm sorry you didn't get the support you were looking for. I am now 10 months post and feeling great, but at 3 1/2 weeks, I had plenty of days that I wondered why I'd done it. Please hang in there, it will get better soon. I had the gas problems too and as the surgery site started to heal and form scar tissue, I had pain on my left side for a few days. This all evened out by 4-6 weeks and I was able to appreciate the surgery for what it was designed for. Good luck to you. Gina

Nancy, I read your post and I'm terribly sorry you are so sick and even sorrier for the backlash you've recieved because of your initial post. I just wanted to let you know that I understood what you were saying and I hope it gets better for you. We are not all the same and I care about you. HUGS

Nancy~I sure wish you were feeling better. I have read where a lot of people post-op go through emotionally tough times. I had a hysterectomy (I know it dowsn't compare to wls) in May and felt like I wanted to "die" at the time. It'll get better for ya. I it's just to early for ya to feel better yet. My sis had her gallbladder out lap and I did too. She was shopping the next day, I felt like complete s**t for about a month. Each person is different. Hang in there. Best wishes (sincerely) to you for a complete recovery. :)
