I'm a 38 year old wife and mother of two boys. When I was 16 I went to the doctors every week for weighing to make sure that I had maintained my weight of 93lbs and not lost any so the path of getting to 275lbs has been a long one. I have steadily gained weight year on year for the past 10 years but significantly 84lbs in the last 6 years. Due to eating too many calories and also coinciding with giving up a 60 fag per day habit.
Maybe I just swapped one addiction for another!
I have recently noticed that people don't want to sit next to me on the train and respond to me differently when I talk to them. I also feel that the weight gain is effecting my career progression, you know, FAT = LAZY syndrome. I really want to look in the mirror and recognise myself again.
