I have taken the step!

I have done my shopping and have chosen Columbia Presbyterian Weight Loss Surgery Program as the winner.  For those seeking Dr. Pomp  He is a wonderful and gifted surgeon.  I would highly recommed him to anyone.  The reason I picked CPres. is that after much discussion with my doctor and the surgeons with my history, we all have chosen on gastric banding with the Realize system.  Dr Pomp is the man to go for if I was having the Roux en Y, but that wasnt the best option for me at the moment.  Cpres has a wonderful aftercare program in NJ as well (other bonus) and I met Gio the LPN that will guide me through Preop and Postop and was extremely impressed by him  and how knowledgeable and down to earth he was.  I believe i will feel trust in his guidence.  Dont have a date yet, waiting for United Healthcare to approve.  But he assured me that with the symptoms I have UHC in most cases has approved.  I am keeping every body part crossed.  I am excitied by this.  Actually I feel weight lifted off me as I step forward in this.  Now as I am impatient - Lets go cut me open so I can live.  I had an interesting epiphany the other day as I was directing the musical at my school.  I was all very into my teaching and helping some students with staging and acting.  I was all over the stage moving freely and I thought I can finally say  this is me but I have 100lbs that cover the person I am up and it wants to come out now (after 30 yrs)
