Got my first fill today and it wasn't pleasant. The injection itself wasn't bad except that it took 3 sticks to find the port. Once in, they had to really push to get it in. I know it won't be that bad once I lose some more weight, but I know I'm not that huge, so it seemed strange that the port was that hard to get to. That being said, I'm glad I got the fill since I was getting pretty hungry and wanting to eat way too much.

Ah well...liquids for Christmas...

I'm now 10 days post op and today is my first day of pureed food! I'm down 21.5 lbs from my highest weight and that is tremendously exciting. I know it's much easier for me since I'm at home and that once I start traveling again things will be harder to manage. But I think by then I'll have gotten a good grip on how to handle eating out from my coworkers who have been through the surgery.

As nervous as I was about post-op complications, I'm doing really well. It's hard to stand from a sitting position or sit from a prone position, but other than that, the pain isn't all that bad.
