Glenbrook Hospital

"I had two really special nurses during my stay at Glenbrook that went out of their way for me and my family. On the second night of my stay I had a nurse that I didn't have previously and she asked my husband if he would like a cot to sleep on instead of the reclining sleeper chair. We were so grateful for that. They also had no issues with my 4 year old visiting, which had a positive impact in my recovery. (She cheered me up.) :) One thing I was a little "alarmed" about was one of my meals was supposed to come with a diet italian ice and they supplied a regular italian ice. I was glad I was well enough to be vigilant of what was being served to me. I was also disappointed, because it was the only thing on my tray that looked yummy. :("

Ervin "Woody" Denham III

"I've met Dr. Denham once at my initial consultation. He was very thorough in explaining the criteria that patients must meet before being considered for WLS. He also explained clearly in a way that I could understand (none of that talking over my head stuff) the gastric bypass surgery and the risks that come with having this surgery. Dr. Denham's nurse, Joy, explained a lot about the procedure as well. I was very impressed (and excited) when she emailed me saying she was looking over the results of the first sleep study I had and realized that I had everything needed to submit to insurance. She wanted to know if I was ready for this step. (Heck ya!!) How lovely was it to have someone paying attention to me and my status as a patient. I didn't even have to pick up the phone to find out what was going on :)rnrnSo far, I've been very pleased. I'm impressed with the whole package. Dr. Denham has put together a team that is competent and caring."
