I've been overweight for my entire life to varying degrees. I look back to the good ole' high school days when I weighed 190 lbs. I was also super active and had an obsessive calorie counting regime. It was a beautiful speeding train that ran into a brick wall called College.
At college I found sedetive passtimes, including drinking games. Wings, pizza and beer; who could go wrong with those staples?! I think that my weight crept up on me slowly and because of my frame I carried it well.
Six years have now gone by since college and my weight has continued to escalate. At 29 I am ready to make a change that puts me back into life. I think my first big wake up call was not being able to fit on any of the roller coaster rides. Now I find some resturant booths uncomfortable. I see that things are only going to get worse if I ignore these warning signs.
I have the ability to loose weight but moreover when I fall off the wagon I gain more than what I started with in the first place. I heard about Lap Band on "Big Medicine" and I am now researching WLS. I am interested in a restricitve surgery and I want to learn more about VSG and Lapband. I'm determined to make this work.
