What a Month.....

Wow this has been crazy. I'm still losing!!!!! The best is that I only have 2 more pounds to go until I can say I made it to ONEDERLAND!!!!! I ended up in the hospital 2 weeks ago for appendicitis. Then I had a heck of a time recovering from it. Long story short... I'm back to work and trying to get back in a routine. For the 1st time ever I bought a size Large scrub pants and top!!! I have never done that before and it was amazing. I haven't worn a size Lg anything since probably back in Jr High. I'm trying to get going again on the treadmill, but the whole surgery thing really threw a wrench in everything.

Happy 2009 to everyone! Everything here is going great. I hit my 65 lb mark this week. I can't believe it. My surgeon and I both have the goal of losing 100 lbs by the end of March. I'm sure going to try to make it. I will be totally excited when I can finally say that I made it to Onederland!!!!!!

Happy Holiday to everyone. Everything is going great. I walk on my treadmill a lot. I really can feel a difference in my knees! YEAH I have a follow up with my surgeon on friday. I am really close to my 50 lb mark. Just can't believe it. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

Had my follow up appt with my surgeon and my nutritionist on friday. They were please with how I'm doing and how my labs are improving. On their scale, I have finally reach the 40 lb mark. Wooohooo I finally got me a treadmill and I LOVE it. Pretty soon it will be time to post 2 month post op pics. Stay tuned. 
Back to work

Well, I've been back to work for 3 weeks now. Each week keeps getting better. Boy that first week I really wanted to take a nap everyday around 1:00!!! I'm glad to be getting back in a routine and to see my regular patients again. I had my follow up appt with the nutritionist today and I'm down 33 1/2 pounds!!!! I'm working on getting a treadmill also to help. I posted my 1 month post op pics also!!!!!!!!
Every day is better

Everyday is getting better. Last week I ended up with a bad UTI and dehydrated. I'm feeling much better now. I think getting to try and eat different things now helps. I do go back to work next week. I'm kinda worried how I'm going to do when I'm back into the busy routine at our office. I do think I can start to tell a difference in my face. My clothes do feel looser, but I don't see a big difference by looking. Others say they can, but i can't. I know it is going to take a long time for me to see it. Soon I will have an updated picture posted. 
Getting better

Each day is getting better. I'm getting my fluids in now, and working on more protein each day. I've had cottage cheese, yogurt, and eggs so far and did ok. I just wish I could get my drainage tube out. They are making me keep it in for 2 weeks, but it is driving me nuts and it pulls a lot!!! I was excited that I'm almost 20 lbs down and I'm post op 1 week and 1 day. I know it won't keep up at that rate, but it at least gives me a boost. Keep on truckin'

I'm finally home. Wow, what a beginning to my journey. I had my surgery on Monday. When he did my surgery, he found a leak when he did my dye test and had to add more stiches to make sure it was fixed. The next morning I had to do an upper GI to make sure there was no leaks, and it was fine. Now I'm home and batteling with the pain and nausea. Anyone who says this is the easy way out, should be shot!!!!

I can't believe I'm almost there. My surgery is booked for the day after tomorrow. I have waited so long for this, but now I'm starting to freak out. Part of me thinks something else is going to happen before then and it will be cancelled again. The other part of me is scared that I'm going to have complications. I want this so bad, I just don't handle being on the the patient end of the stick very well. Thank God for the loopy meds they are going to give me. Soon I will be diving into the unkown and hopefully come out better than when I went in. Here I go............

I got another date for my surgery. Now it will be Monday, September 29th. I am so excited. I had my final appointment with my surgeon today and signed all my consent forms. I am ready to go=:) 
I have finally told my co-workers and my close family. I'm kinda glad I have all that off my chest. I have been working so long on all this with only a couple people knowing about it. I can't wait to start my journey toward the new me. I just pray that I have very few complications. I want to be on that losers bench so bad, I can taste it.
