I feel GOOD.

Oct 22, 2011

Well, the stall has come and gone, and I'm losing weight again.  It does seem to be at a much slower pace, but that's okay with me.  As long as it keeps moving downward!  LOL.  I've had some great things happen over the past few weeks.  I went to see my sleep apnea specialist and she showed me a graph of the data that my C-PAP machine had recorded.  Back in April, the graph showed my pressure at being at level 17.  The pressure dropped pretty consistently after my surgery (I have an auto-adjust machine), and as of September my pressure was at a 9.  Woohoo!  The doctor put orders in to have my machine set to start out at a pressure level of 6 and to have the maximum pressure set at 10.  She said she'll check me again in another month and I may not need my machine at all after that!  SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had all kinds of NSVs recently.  First of all, I can cross my legs.  YESSAH!!!!     I am also officially in a size 18 clothes.  I still can't believe it.  I can shop in the "normal-sized" women's section now!  Not that I have any money to go shopping, haha.  But I was able to get two nice pairs of slacks at JCPenney today for work at an awesome 50% discount.  I'm hoping to find some jeans and shirts at a consignment shop soon.  As much as I want to, I just can't spend much money on clothes that I know I'm going to shrink out of in not too long.  I also need to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on a warm winter jacket.  My winter jacket from last year is 10 sizes too big, and I really need one that fits me well.  I'd love to get one from L.L.Bean (right up the street from me), but unless I can find a really awesome sale, that's probably going to have to wait until next winter when I'm at goal.  So I'm going to keep a look-out for a warm winter jacket in a size 18 at the consignment shops and keep my fingers crossed.

Another great NSV was riding the Farris Wheel with my daughter at one of the small-town fairs a few weeks ago.  She's five years old and I've never been able to go on any rides with her before.  I've always had to sit on the sidelines and watch while my husband rode with her.  Well, not anymore!  I can't tell you how happy that made me, and I think my daughter thought it was pretty cool, too.  I think my husband was proud.

Well, that's all for now.  That 100-pounds-down mark is coming right up.  I don't know what I'm going to do when I hit that mini-goal, but I can tell you one thing - there will be some dancing involved!!
