"These are only my opinions related to my experience with with Dr. Owens and the Coastal Center for Obesity for my Lap RNY...But I happen to think Dr. Owens is a great doc. Very professional, very knowledgable and up front about what he is going to do and what the risks and benefits are. Hes got a good bedside manner. He does take the time to sit and listen. He makes very clear that you need to follow the aftercare program to have maximum results. His center offers and excellent support group 2 nights a week along with a nutrition class and frequent follow up visits. The staff is always just a phone call away for any help. I would rate him as an excellent doctor and would see him if i had to do it all over again. (Which i never will).
Dr. Oliak, (Dr. Owens partner) is also great. Very kind, very attentive and skilled at what he does. Takes time with the patients and even comes and does presentations and education at the support group meetings for all theh post-op patients. The support meetings are free and their to keep you encouraged and make sure you suceed after surgery."
