8 months - WOW!

Quick update as yesterday was my 8 month surgiversary.

HW: 339
SW: 328 (saw this in my surgeon's notes this past week)

1 mth post-op: 290 (-36 lbs)
2 mths post-op: 279 (-11 lbs)
3 mths post-op: 269 (-10 lbs)
4 mths post-op: 256 (-13 lbs)
5 mths post-op: 242 (-14 lbs)
6 mths post-op: 236 (-6 lbs)
7 mths post-op: 229 (-7 lbs)
8 mths post-op: 223 (-6 lbs)

TOTAL LOST TO DATE: 116 lbs!!

Feels like less this month but 6 lbs is still good!  It's an average of 1.5 lbs/week. Really can't complain about that!!

Saw my bariatric doc yesterday - kind of took the wind out of my sails a tad though. He commented that the loss had slowed since I'd seen him - and I agreed... said that it would slow again to more like 1 lb a week and with 50-60 lbs to go, I probably would get to 200 or so... maybe 185-190 if I was really motivated/exercising more. Well huh. Didn't like that much - I know he's not as familiar with the Sleeve and all but sheesh. That's only maybe another 23 lbs? I'll show him!!  :) 

Oh - and I'm at 73% of my EWL at 8 months out (using the number of 169 as my EWL to lose...) . I'm right on track with most RnY-ers at the same point with the same EWL!!

Timeline goals to aim for to see if I am on track to lose 100% EWL:

25% EWL by two months
50% EWL by six months
80% EWL by twelve months
100% EWL by eighteen months

Take surgery weight and subtract  goal weight. This will give the EWL%. Then divide the EWL by the percentage to get the timelime goal.

surgery weight = 319
goal weight = 160
EWL = 159

25% EWL by two months = 40 (279 pounds) MET (277 lbs)
50% EWL by six months = 80 (239 pounds) MET (Sept 2 so ahead of my 6 mth surgiversary on 9/12)
80% EWL by twelve months = 127 (192 pounds) 31 lbs to get to this goal. So at 6-7 lbs a mth, I should reach this or be within spitting distance!!
