Had my gastric bypass surgery on December 4th, was very surprised to learn I had lost five pounds in the first five days. It's a huge relief that this battle is going on without my active participation. Hard to believe how little I can get down my throat -- today was a day I would have grazed through the house and eventually gone out to pick up some lethal combination of sugar/fat.
