Eating regular foods now. Down 50 lbs and 2 pant sizes. 

Down 40lbs since Surgery- 7 weeks ago. I'm tired of being on soft foods!

The Health Tracker is so goofy, sometimes it lets me put in my info, sometimes not. please make it easier to use!!!

I went to the ER on Sunday and had the drain hose taken out, it hurt like hell and the part of the hose that was in my body had a clamp on it. I'm not healing and have so much more energy. I had it taken out as it was starting to come out of my body anyway and I didnt want bacteria to get in there. Now I just have to wait until the hole closes up, and it looks like its doing so pretty well.

The drain hose came un attached from my body, my skin shrunk! So I went in to the ER, as per my Doctors (Surgeons) orders ( who is an hour and half away), they pulled that nasty drain hose out, and it hurt like HELL! It had a nasty clamp on the end of it that was attached to the old part of my stomach. Some bile and blood came out, but not much. The Docs in the ER then just put a big bandage over it and sent me home, I asked about cleaning it, and they weren't too worried, knowing me, I will clean it with diluted peroxide when I have to. I see my Surgeon on Thursday and she can check it out.

Off topic, I've been trying to move out of my apartment for a week now. I had to hire some fine young  men to haul the big stuff out and my BF can't lift anything and neither can I, and then dealing with the Wisconsin weather.....cold, cold, cold. I need to be out by Thursday....I need to get more people to help. Maybe the weather will cooperate I can have someone drive me over there today, (can't drive because of the Hydrocodone I'm taking.

Hopefully with all this behind me soon, I can finish healing, take a deep breath and be happy. But for now, its all stressing me out!

I had surgery on December 17th for a revision from Lap Band to RNY, the initial surgery went fine, but when It came to do a leak test, guess what...I had one, so another surgery was performed on me the next day....and it was open! But before all the surgeries, the Drs had trouble getting IVS in, so they did a central line in my neck and all the other IVs were put in my shoulder area. Yes I was dehydrated and I couldn't help that and the Drs didn't seem to know that. Stop poking me!!! I had so many holes in me I could have sprung a leak.

I did get a nice blood clot from the second surgery, so now taking Coumadin for that. I got out of the hospital on December 24th....no Christmas as I wasn't feeling it. I did get a beautiful diamond necklace from Wayne, but i've felt too ugly to wear it. 

Recovery has been slow. I'm 5 weeks out and I still have a drain hose in, that is connected to my new pouch. That comes out Jan 31st. I still have alot of pain from that and taking Hydrocodone...and it makes me sleepy. I'm not able to drive yet. I'm mad that this surgery didnt' go as smooth as it was supposed to. I'm mad that the Lap Band ate a hole in my stomach, causing the leak. If I could get a note to anyone thinking of getting a Lap Band, don't. I had mine for 8 years and I went through many years of pain with it. vomiting 6x a day is not normal.

I am thankful the Drs. could fix me up with what they had to work with. I should have been healed by now....well the 12 inch incision is...but i'm not quite there mentally...or physically. I can do about 20 minutes of walking a day, then tired. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Not a happy camper.

Surgery tomorrow (December 17th). Revision from Lap Band to RNY (  gastric bypass) I hope all goes well. Right now i have to drink this stuff called Go Lytely...laxative...and nothing is happening after 2 hours. I am looking forward to/and dreading the surgery all at the same time.  Wish me luck!!!

10 days to go until my revision. Scared for surgery as I don't know what this Lap Band has done to my insides for the last 8 yrs. I've heard so many horror stories about the port tangles up in the liver.

Ugh!!!

I guess I can't juice as it would be too many carbs as per my dieticians orders. She says its ok to just have protein right now. But I do miss the veggies.  

I'm following the liquid diet as best i can....going to start juicing again, as I miss veggies. The whey protein is just not enough. If I don't get enough in, then I feel like I have low blood sugar. I'm not diabetic, so that shouldn't happen.

I was allowed to have my "last supper" at Thanksgiving, but by the time my fiance' and I cooked everything, I wasn't that hungry. And I'm always that way with food. I make it, then don't want it. So now i'm on day 3 of my full liquid diet before surgery on December 17th. Seems like a long ways away yet. And all i can think about is what I can find to eat that will be ok with my tummy.
