6 Days Pre-Op!

Jul 09, 2007

I'm feeling OK today. Yesterday I felt horrible. It's gotta be the gall stones still. I'll be glad when my gall bladder is gone. Plans are Dr. Ferrari will remove it at the same time he does my gastric bypass...just 6 more days! I only have enough pain medication to last until the weekend, so last night instead of taking that, I took a Phenergan, which helped me sleep wonderfully! I'm not really "hungry" although liquid diets are never fun. I feel a little lack of energy, but it's probably also because of the gall bladder issues. Today I'm taking some vitamins, so hopefully that will give me a little boost. The doctors office told me I can still eat a "sensible lunch" which is good! Today will be my first one. And for the protein shakes....still haven't bought any. We'll see if I can get my hands on some this weekend for post-op. Anyways...just 6 more days!!!!

2 days pre-op!

I feel a little better today. I have spent most of the day playing with my kids. I don't know if I mentioned it anywhere, but I have 2 amazing little boys - a 3 1/2 year old and a 5 month old. Anyways, I'm all set up for tomorrow. At 11:30 I have to go to the hospital and do all the pre-op stuff. Then I will see the Pulmonary Specialist and then I will see Dr. Ferrari. That should take up most of my afternoon. Then I'll come home and pack my bag for the hospital. I can't wait. I hope and pray I get through this surgery without any compications. I am committing myself to doing LOTS and LOTS of walking right after surgery. I AM NOT GOING TO DO LIKE THIS LAST TIME AND BE LAZY! NO WAY!!!!
