a few random things which ill elaborate on later.
surgery went great...im home now but darvocet wasnt cutting through the pain like the morphine did so now im on lortab10's.  ill see how this works. 

also, unbeknownst to me...i lost 12 lbs beore surgery!  i wasn't even trying...they just fell off. 

in a day or so id like to put up one of those cute weight loss tickers.  take care everyone!

alright...have to be at the hospital in less than 12 hours.  i have to get an overnight bag together and shower.  im excited....for my butt prep to stop working!  lol  everytime i think im in the clear it sneaks back up on me.  i have to take my last four antibiotics in just over an hour.  the second dose i took earlier today made me vomit within about an hour of swallowing them.  it was horrible.  i hope i can just sleep through the nausea this time. 

in the event that anyone notices that my surgery date changed...it's because i put the wrong date down to begin with...haha

the right date is wed. 9/24/08.

so, today i had to do the clear liquids only thing. i did not have any caffeine and its killing me.  worse than when i quit smoking!  i have such a withdrawel headache.  blech

well...today is friday and my surgery is wednesday!  i went two days ago for all my pre-op tests.  i know everything was fine.  i am NOT looking forward to tuesday because that is "butt cleanse" day as it shall be known.  blech.   can't wait for that to be over with!

p.s.

I have not smoked since i quit.  not once.  not even a little puffer.  i did it cold turkey and do not plan to re-start ever.  pretty cool, huh?

My surgery date is scheduled for 9/24/2008.  Im excited.  Today will be the last day I smoke EVER.  I am 28 this year and have been smoking since I was 18.  Since I have to quit for the surgery anyway, I'm quitting for good and not only will that be a life boost but a $$$ saver, too. 

No more ciggy butt filters will be going into my garbage bin (does that make me "green"?  haha). 

I called today and made an appointment for August 28th with Dr. Constantine Frantzides in Skokie, IL.  I am looking forward to our first meeting.  I have done a lot of research about bariatric surgery and personally know quite a mixed bag of people who have had it done.  My primary concern at this moment is regarding finances and what if anything my insurance will cover.
