He told me that typically the best operation for me would be RNY but he listened to my concerns about the operation and allowed me to make the best choice for me. That choice was the lap band.rnrnThe entire practice is a bunch of great people. The practice is very busy. So they are not going to call you about every little thing as you move through the process. But they never seemed to mind when I kept calling to find out where I was in the approval process.rnrnThe day of my surgery went great, Sycamore is an excellent hospital. Dr. Schumacher joked around me putting me at ease. He came out, spoke to my wife, gave her the details of the surgery. He stopped by later that day and the next morning. You see everyone represented from the practice before you go home - nurse, nutritionist, exercise physiologist, all making sure you are ready to be released.rnrnI had no complications, very little pain and that only lasted a few days.
