Hi Rhia, I read your post on waiting for your insurance approval. I waited the 10-12 weeks recommended before calling to check on the status. BIG MISTAKE!! When I called they had never received it. I had an answer in 3 days after is was sent again. They denied it. Then I had the appeal letter faxed along with letters from my PCP, back surgeon, pshychologist and myself. I only waited 2 days before calling this time. They again said they did not receive it. I had it refaxed last Tuesday and had my approval on Wednesday. Don't be afraid to call and check. It could have saved me months of waiting.

Hi Rhia, I just want to say, keep your head up and always look to the sky. Every day brings bigger and brighter things for us to be grateful for. I know from experience that this process can be slow, but I also know that when that glorious day comes, I will have forgotten all the time it took to get there. God Bless and Keep You, Toinette

Hi Rhia, I saw your post tonight and know exactly how you feel.I too was nervous about my first consult, but God worked it all out for me.I was approved in less then 4 weeks and surgery is scheduled for june 18th.I will definitely say a prayer for you tonight that everything goes great tomorrow.I'm a strong believer on prayer and would not even consider this surgery if i were not a born again christian.Don't ever apologize for mentioning prayer for fear you'd offend somebody. Not everyone may be a christian but there sure are alot of them on this site that are,and I believe their prayers go a long way for us pre-ops,and I thank God for everyone of them!!!!God bless you, lol,Lora
