"Not impressed yet-too quiet, didn't say much at all or seem to interested. My impression hasn't changed, as throughout my extra medical procedures needed he has NOT spoke to me, only a Theresa which I don't even remember what her title is and she is hard to get ahold of. The day of my office visit I spoke mainly with a Steffanie and she was direct, not personable either. So far the only thing going for them is their competence recommended level, otherwise I would and still might check into Iowa City's surgeons. This has just been my personal experience, as I have heard others with better and more personal experiences???? I say it's hard to judge a person on a 3-5 minute encounter with very little spoken. Also, I work the graveyard shift and my appointment was later that am, and then I saw the physchologist for his study testing which took another 3 1/2 hours, then had to drive to Iowa City (another 1 1/2 away in a rather nasty thunderstorm. (In other words when I saw him I hadn't eaten for about 20 hours or slept in that amount of time and then still had the rest to complete before any sleep or food was to be had. (Business first, then comes yourself)rnIn the surgeons office they gave me a plyrori (don't believe that is spelled correctly) test and set me up for a GI test and did call and allow me to do the psychological testing that same day. (with the lack of sleep and nourishment, unsure if that was so wise?) Then the Psychologist said he would have my results sent to me in a couple days, which ended up to be 3 weeks before I and the surgeon received the results as he went on vacation and forgot to tell us. ;( I wait 2 more days and still no call from my surgeons? I called and was told Theresa would call me back later. I stayed awake waiting for that special call until 4pm and no return call. This is a friday and I have to sleep and work every weekend so I now try to get some rest.....didn't work, no sleep, but I went to work disappointed and waited patiently until monday am to call again and then informed them how I had been put out on friday and not appreciated and if they were too busy to get back with me I will be seeking another surgeons opinion, due to their non response to me as a client and evidentially are too busy to take the time. Theresa was right there and simply said I was not denied or accepted, now I needed to quit smoking first (I explained I quit Aug. 13th) and then she said I had to wait until I had not smoked for 3 total months which will put me at Nov. 13th at the earliest and also said I needed a cardiologist clearance, which I said this shoiuldn't be a problem as I have seen one (Dr. Abiose) in Iowa City for an ultra sound and a stress test this past month and he said they both checked out ok. He gave me Lasix for my edema and Zocor for my high LDL levels and overall, which he didn't give me that number when I asked?"
