My Name is Krista.
I am a 27 yr old mother of 3 beautiful babies!!
I have been pretty big since my first pregnancy in 2001. My weight capped out last year after having gone through 2 back surgeries in less than 2 years. Being laid up after both surgeries I gained a significant amount of weight. In July 2011 I went through a pulmonary embolism (blood clots in my lungs). In Nov 2011 I was faced with the reality from my surgeon that I needed to lose a large amount of weight fast or inevitably face more back surgery. So I decided to pursue the gastric bypass journey.
I went to my first info session in late January, followed the motions to my surgery which was May 1, 2012 @9am!!
I am super excited to continue my journey with all of you!
I can't wait to be back to my former athletic self and to play sports and ride bikes, roller blades, and skate with my kiddies!!!
I am on the path to recovery and the journey to a new me!!!
