Yes....I'm finally here. I'm so excited and can't wait for tomorrow. I just have faith and believe that God will have his hand over me and Dr. Brengman. I have asked God for his protection during the surgery! I thank him for all he has done for me and how he brought me through this journey. I'm ready for the change!

Yesterday I went to all of my pre op appointments. Xray, EKG, Blood tests, etc. Met with the Nurse. They just like to go over everything you've already discussed, make sure everyone is on the same page. I arrived at 10 am and didn't leave until 2 pm. I'm so glad my doctors office is in the same building as the hospital.

I weighed in and since I've been on the pre op diet, I've lost 10 pounds. I"m walking a mile twice a day in preparation for the surgery. Now I've decided to move all of the junk food that my family eats into one cabinet, so that I know not to go in it. Quick fix for right now, little do they know that I won't be buying a lot of that stuff for any of us. My husband is addicted to Fried food and I need to ease him away from it. I want to make a health change for the entire family.   Last night I had to fry pork chops with mac n cheese and collard greens. But I saved myself by eating my healthy meal first so that I wasn't hungry while I was cooking.

It wasn't easy.

I'm excited about my pre op appointments tomorrow. I believe the only concern I have are the migraines. I've suffered with them for years and had a bad one about 2 a.m. The only thing I take for it are BC's. And I won't be able to have those anymore....But the doctor suggested that the migraines may be part of my weight issues. I'm praying that's true.

But once again.....

I'M FIRED UP......READY TO GO!!!!

Today I start my pre op diet. I'm doing Slim Fast right now. It's funny how I'm dedicated to this now. I had my shake this morning and I want to eat, just because I'm thinking about food and not because I'm hungry. I understand that this process
is not going to be easy, but worthwhile. I have to make good decisions. I have to make better choices for my health. I know that without God, I could do nothing.....and with him, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"!!!! Thank you Lord for this journey. I weighed myself and I'm down to 246 from 255. Now two weeks to surgery. I'm excited.

I just received my date yesterday and I'm just so excited. I am ready to begin my pre op diet. It's funny how I haven't been eating at my normal rate for about a week or so. I thank God for allowing the process to be at this stage. I'm counting on him to guide me through this. My new favorite word is READY!!!!!....YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!
