New and needing reassurance

Hi everyone, I have stumbled across this forum whilst extensively researching RNY surgery.

I'm 33, based in the UK and paying privately for my procedure. My surgery date is October 2nd. I'm nervous excited. I'm looking for some support as I know no one else who has had the surgery. I'm just looking for any advice/hints/tips for pre-op and for the stay. What did you find useful to take into hospital?
