I am horrible at this blogging thing....any how!
I have lost 71lbs so far and actually weight less now than I did my senior year of high school.  I have bones I never knew where hiding in my body!  Yes I have extra skin...but who cares!  The worst part is that my hair is falling out but lucky for me I have super thick hair before (I use to have to have it thinned every hair cut), so it really is not noticeable.  I am in a 14 now and even zipped a 12 this morning (caused a huge muffin of skin on top, so I am not likely to wear them anytime soon...lol).  Life is so good that it feels like a dream.  My favorite moment today was me having to stop and take a second glance at my reflection on the glass doors in the grocery store.  I was like holy smokes that's me, look at how flat my belly is! 

Said my forever goodbyes to the 200's and am welcoming myself to the Onederland this am!  Weight loss has been really slow for me but I am looking and feeling GREAT!

My last night trapped in this body...I can not even express how grateful I am for the gift I am about to receive. 

I am not nervous at all, a surprise to most of my friends and family.  I guess that I am really truly ready.  I have not even had a desire to eat today (really had to force myself to get in my 6 small meals). 

I am praying that I can recover quickly and get back to being a mama full time.  But until then, my mama is staying with me and so loving the fact that I even asked for her help.  I have always been very independent and have never asked for her help. 

So for tonight, I am going to take some final measurements and have my husband take some updated before pics.  Followed by a hot soak in the tub and a scrub down with the yucky surgical soap. 
Read a little and then dream of the life I am about to be given!

Going to get my new birthday on monday March 21, 2011.  I am so excited.  So my question to my fellow OH friends...What did you take with you to the hospital?

My meeting with surgeon was wonderful and all paperwork has been submitted to insurance for approval. 
Today I started my Low carb diet (no more than 40 per day).  Breakfast was easy, protein shake, but now I can not decide what to have for lunch....

I am so ready to post some post-op pics....I meet with the surgeon on 2/15/11 and then we submit to insurance!  Thankfully my OH friends have lots of before and after pics for me to check out and share in their victories, while I wait for my own.

Got the call that all my "stuff" is in order and now I just need to have my husband meet my Dr (2/15/11) and we can submit everything to insurance for approval!!!!  Maybe I will become a post-op before March....keeping my fingers crossed!

Really would love to post a cute pic of me for my avatar but all the ones I have are "too large" in pixels.  LMAO

I am just 2 weeks shy of finishing my 6 consecutive month of supervised diet and exercise and then we can finally submit for approval to my insurance.  I know that I am not alone in hating all the waiting but truthfully it has been a good thing for me.  I know now that I am making the right choice for me.  I guess that the hardest part is I am ready to get on with my life!  I am sick of being a skinny girl trapped in this body! 
I am getting a bit OCD on looking at before and after pics for other OH members...they truly amaze me.
