ROBIN~~ CONGRATULATIONS!! Wishing you the best on your other "new journey". I'm so happy for you and your new man. ~~When you wonder what is coming....tell yourself that the best is coming....the very best that life and love have to offer....the best that God and His Universe have to send....Then open your hands to receive it.....It's yours.

Okay, so now you're going up to NH to go swimming (after biking on the Charles the other day)? Robin...that is so cool (but of course I'm even more homesick now!). Have a smashing time, and I wish you all good things...get that cute size 16 bathing suit on and get out there and knock 'em dead! Hugs, Joy

Thanks for keeping in touch w/ me Robin! It is always good to have people to relate to on this journey. I am going to see my therapist/counselor and also a psychiatrist, both on Thursday the 17th, to talk more about some of the issues you responded to in my psot about depression and the "old me" vs. the "new me" I didn't mention it before, but I am on a low dose antidepressant,so...I've got my friends, my family, my new AMOS buddies, my doctors, and above all, God. I am going to be just fine! Be in touch ~Cindy

Wow Robin!! What a inspiring message! I copy and pasted your post to word so I could print it and read it during lunch break! I guess you inspired me, cause I left lunch 10 mins. early to walk around the building. Thanks for a wonderful post!

I think it is a good thing to post when you are down!! For a couple of reasons, 1. People especially preops need to know what it is like after surgery. Being depressed is a very big part of this journey. Because others posted their down times, I was able to be prepared for this after surgery. I knew what to expect. And 2. I think this is where we come for support. I don't have that emotional support in my personal life, finding this board was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. I tell everyone about this place! You people are wonderful! Thank God I ran into this board!

Hi Robin, it's Roseanne and I found you through the other group we both joined on yahoo. I want to support you in any way I can so please feel free to stay in touch. One of the women mentioned water-loading in a prior post..that information is on the "Pouch Rules for Dummies" (you can get it by doing a search) and there are others that may help. Also, you may find some extra help if you post on that yahoo group. Give it a try, if you have time...I want a belly button piercing too and I KNOW we can get there!! hang in there, Sweetie, one day at a time! Love and hugs, Roseanne

Oh, Robin, I'm so sorry! I KNOW you're feeling down when you don't even end a post with your trademark "Toodles!" :( I hope that your doctor/dietician are able to help you in some way. You have still made major progress with your weight loss, but to always feel so hungry HAS to be discouraging! I will be thinking of you. Please post another update when you can, okay? (((HUGS)))

Hi Robin, I am sorry to hear you so discouraged. Cheer up. You are still down quite a few pounds... Have you heard of water loading? Its where you drink lots of water before you eat and wait 15 minutes and then eat..it keeps you feeling full longer... and wait at least 2 hours after eating and then start on your water again...What are you doing for exercise??? I have to tell you my weight took a big nose dive when I just picked up a couple of whort walks a day... wow... hang in there...take care.. Karen

Robin, I'm sorry to hear of your evident relapse of success. There appears to be an apparent problem however. I would be constant about the lack of progress, and the constant hunger feeling you are having. Perhaps you should check with others in the support group close to you to see if there are any suggestions. I wish you luck, and most of all stay strong. All is not lost! Prayerfully yours, Pam, Det., MI
