Robin, best wishes to you for an uneventful surgery and a recovery thats as quick and painfree as possible. This quote is from a book my grandmother gave me before she passed away. It was one or her favorites.(Kahil Gibran) "But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons, and let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing"

Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROBIN~~ I, too was addicted to sugar and chocolate... I used to have a big bag of Dove Chocolate with me all the time (plus any other candy thrown in for variety). I ate ice cream everyday... not to mention all the other goodies. I have not had ANY of the above since my WLS 7 1/2 months ago. It was easy in the beginning, cause I didn't have a desire for it... and I still don't. I know a lot of people who decide to see if they'll dump so they try it. I decided that I AM GOING TO DUMP! (I don't really want to know if I don't) So, until something calls my name... and I am simply unable to resist (which hasn't happened yet) I am going to stick to the plan and not eat that junk. It is addictive and if you start eating it, you start craving it... and then you eat more and more. YOU CAN DO THIS! I have.
